Teacher field trips are free, in-person tours open to middle school teachers, high school teachers, or school counselors that are interested in learning more about the variety of careers available in Johnson County. Tour attendance is limited, so sign up now to reserve your seat! Transportation to each company will be provided as well as a light breakfast by sponsor, Ivy Tech. Each participant will receive a $25 Walmart gift card as a thank you for attending & a letter by request for professional growth points.

The Basic Handgun is intended for all individuals regardless of previous shooting experience.
Course Topics include: Gun Safety rules, proper operation of revolvers, semi-automatic pistols, ammunition knowledge and selection, pistol selection and storage, shooting fundamentals, pistol inspection and maintenance, marksmanship, and shooting range safety. Students will use SIRT (Shot Indicating Resetting Training) Pistols to practice shooting fundamentals before heading to the range for live fire training This course will consist of about 3 hours of classroom and SIRT training, and about 2 hours of live-fire range time. The class is normally five hours in length, but may sometimes run a little longer or shorter, depending on attendance and the number of questions.

Cost $125.00 per person

Cancellation Policy: Students are required to cancel at least 48 hours in advance of a class date in order to receive a full refund. Classes cancelled less than 48 hours before the class will not be refunded.
