Event Description: Healthcare coverage for employees is often one of the largest expenses for a business after compensation. As businesses prepare their 2014 budgets, planning for the changes in coverage offerings, contributions, potential penalties and workforce dynamics are more complex than in prior years. Each business needs to gather information about their company, their future growth plans and their employees to evaluate the strategies available. Business owners and advisors will gain knowledge and assistance in evaluating what options are available. Determining whether or not a company will be considered a “large” group subject to penalties or a “small” group not subject to penalties is pivotal in drafting a path for employees’ healthcare in the coming years. While penalties are a significant budget consideration, they are not the only driver in making decisions for the future. Companies will need to evaluate their Safe-Harbor contribution options, part-time workforce options, employee subsidy options and more. This seminar will be focused primarily on those companies with less than 50 employees and will provide education focused on the latest and proposed regulations as well as tools to evaluate options as it relates to their unique company size.
