The Greater Greenwood Chamber of Commerce has hired Hannah Orme as its new membership development manager. Orme will serve as the Chamber’s primary membership recruitment and retention officer. She replaces Leslie Myrick who left the Chamber in February.
Orme comes to the Chamber from Buca di Beppo Italian Restaurant in Greenwood, Indiana, where she served as sales and marketing manager. At Buca di Beppo, she designed and developed a marketing plan that included promotions, advertising, networking, outreach, personal sales, and impact metrics. As a result, she boosted banquet sales by 107% in one year and was invited to train sales and marketing managers across the country on how to implement her model for success.
Prior to her tenure at Buca di Beppo, Orme worked in the sports marketing industry for the Indianapolis Motor Speedway and Blackburn Sports Marketing. At these organizations she planned, facilitated and traveled to promotional and VIP hospitality events, designed marketing collateral, and conducted personal sales.
Orme earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Indiana University, Indianapolis, where she majored in journalism with a degree concentration in public relations.
Orme began her new position Monday, April 11, 2011. She can be reached at (317) 888-4856.
The Chamber also hired Melissa Tennessen as its new Member Services Coordinator. In her role, she assists members with their Chamber benefit questions and activation including such services as email marketing, event registration, ribbon cutting scheduling, and membership mailing lists. She also coordinates office operations, membership records, membership
renewals, accounts receivable, resident relocation services, and tourism hospitality.
Prior to the coming to the Chamber, Tennessen worked for AIT Laboratories where she provided executive-level administrative support, coordinated company events, arranged travel plans, and reconciled expense budgets and reports. As a result of her efforts, she saved the company more than $48,000 in travel expenses.
Tennessen also worked for the Indiana Economic Development Corporation and the Indiana State Bar Association.
The Member Services Coordinator position is a new position created after veteran receptionist Velma Neff retired fall 2010. Tennessen began earlier this year. Contact her at (317)
