Color the County Mural Program Winning Mural Artists and Community Painting Days Announced |

The winners of the Johnson County Community Foundation’s (JCCF) 2019 Color the County Mural Program design contest and the 2019 Community Painting Days were announced today. Shannon McKeon’s mural design was chosen for the mural location at 249 S. Main Street, Richards Brick Oven Pizza in Franklin, IN. McKeon is Prepress & Graphics Manager at Dynamark Graphics Group Indianapolis. Creative Council’s mural design was chosen for the mural location at 800 S. Indian Creek Drive Trafalgar, IN. Artist include; Chrissy Robertson, Creative Director at Hightower Graphics in Indianapolis, Meredith Pierson, CSR at Renaissance Electronic Services in Indianapolis, Patrick Tisdale, Painter, President of Creative Council of Franklin and Elissa McKee, Co-Owner of 1823 Bakehouse in Franklin and Coffee Grrrls in Bargersville. JCCF invites residents of all ages to help bring the murals to life this summer at the following Community Painting Days. Painting supplies and refreshments will be provided. Franklin: Date: Saturday, June 29, 2019 from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Location: 249 S. Main Street, Richards Brick Oven Pizza Trafalgar: Date: Saturday, August 17, 2019 from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Location: 800 S. Indian Creek Drive, Indian Creek Learning Center JCCF established the Color the County Mural Program in 2016 to celebrate its 25th Anniversary. Color the County joined the community and artists through the collaborative process of mural-making to create three powerful artworks in Johnson County.
